The programs and projects have been expertly preserved, viewed, and shared with our D.C. community for a very long time. We first met Harvey through our Soror, renowned author Cherisse Carney Nunes.”
During the 1980s, one of the chapter’s programs was Self-Awareness Self-Esteem (SASE), where the goal was to present/acquaint our D.C. high school students with Black History that would enhance their knowledge significantly. All of the above was visually documented by Harvey, thus preserving it for chapter history.
We reached hundreds of students who learned and enjoyed many facts that they would remember for many years to come. When the chapter was planning the 95th Anniversary in 2015, we secured the services of Mr. Nunes, who videotaped our chapter presidents. Of course, this made a beautiful presentation for our luncheon.
Also, Sorors and guests enjoyed the video presented for the Delta Towers Housing facilities’ 40th Anniversary in 2017. The most recent opportunity for videography was the January 13, 2018, Founders Day, and once again, we contacted our own Harvey, who produced another wonderful memory!
We are so appreciative and grateful to Harvey Nunes for all that he has done and continues to do to ensure that the WDCAC history is well documented.”
